In the past, Central Highlands Tea Factory suffered from unreliable power supply affecting daily operations and profitability. Interruption in the withering process led to poor quality of tea. Consequently, the factory had to rely on a diesel generator, resulting in high emissions and costs.
Solution
Yetu Smart Grids conducted an energy assessment to create visibility of the factory’s energy demand and unreliable power supply. Next to the repair of their power factor correction bank, a hydro-solar solution was developed to offer reliable, sustainable and affordable power supply.
