Lewa Wilderness is an eco-lodge that experienced blackouts due to an underutilized energy installation. At the same time, they suffered long delays in finding solutions when issues arose with the original set-up. Additionally, heavy reliance on self-owned generators caused a significant increase in emissions and operational expenses.
Solution
After conducting an assessment, Yetu Smart Grids relocated existing solar panels and added additional solar capacity. With this new set-up, Yetu Smart Grids is serving power to the lodge, the staff quarters, and the electric cars. The guests of Lewa Wilderness can rest assured that the lodge is fully powered by sustainable sources.
