Bukavo is a city in Eastern Congo which hosts thousands of refugees from conflict regions. Panzi hospital was founded to treat female victims of violence in difficult conditions. The hospital was facing frequent power interruptions and power surges affecting the biomedical equipment. As a result, quality of patient care was negatively impacted.
Solution
Yetu Smart Grids provided a traineeship for technicians in South Kivu, equipping them with the know-how, experience, and materials necessary for the installation of solar panels.
